Heat Transformer Oil, also known as transformer oil or insulating oil, is a highly refined fluid with excellent electrical insulating properties and high thermal stability, used in oil-filled electrical equipment like transformers and circuit breakers.

Valvoline ThermoSynth is synthetic base heat transfer fluid. It is fortified with selected chemical additives, which provide excellent thermal and oxidation stability to ensure longer life. Valvoline ThermoSynth has wide operating range of –15 ºC to 305 ºC and in extreme cases at 310 ºC. Unlike mineral base products, it does not crack at high temperature forming carbon deposits and insoluble matter. Negligible deposits means better heat transfer rate. Insoluble matter/sludge is kept in fine dispersion, which increases the overall life of oil. Valvoline ThermoSynth has low freezing point (below –20 ºC), which ensures good pumpability at low temperatures and smooth operations. It’s low volatility reduces oil consumption during service. Due to special AFR (anti free radical) and minimum low boilers formation characteristics, Valvoline ThermoSynth has more life than conventional mineral base heat transfer oils.
